Castle Lachlan Argyll, Scotland Castle Lachlan is a beautifully appointed family home situated on the shores of Loch Fyne. The castle dates from the 18th century and is the clan seat of the MacLachlans one of the oldest highland clans. The castle has been divided into two properties with the superior south facing half available for letting. The private estate extends to 1500 acres consisting of a livestock farm, hill ground woodlands and coastline, all of which is accessible to guests. Also available for guests is the recently built tennis court. This area of the West Highlands is one of great beauty and splendour enjoying the attractions of both the sea and the hills. Good golf courses are within a comfortable drive as are the many visitor attractions of this area. The castle is under two hours drive from Glasgow.

Accommodation

The accommodation at Castle Lachlan offers an excellent combination of style and modern comfort and sleeps 12 people,(Childs Cot available). There is full central heating throughout.Much care and attention has been spent on ensuring that the Castle has retained its original atmosphere, whilst providing a welcoming and charming home.

-Kitchen and pantry. A large farmhouse style kitchen with Aga and big wooden table seating 12, terracotta flooring. Three rooms off the kitchen provide a well equipped working area and storage with fridge freezer and gas cooker.
-Small sitting room / Children's room with TV. Next to kitchen this cosy and comfortably furnished room is ideal for use as a children's play room.
-Utility Room. Good size room with plenty of hanging room. Equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The wood panelled hallway with open fireplace, antique settles and stags heads leads to the main living rooms.
-Dining Room. An impressive room with windows on two sides giving views over Loch Fyne and the garden. Oval table seats 12 comfortably. Elegant dressers and open fire give real sense of occasion.
-Billiard Room. Off the dining room this room houses a full size billiard table.
-Drawing Room. The ornate Italian marble fireplace provides the focus in this spacious and comfortable room. Large window seat with beautiful views. Grand piano. T.V., video, and hi-fi system.
